This still counts as a Friday post because I haven't gone to bed yet! That's the law.
I remain a consistent and responsible blogger.
Truthfully, I kept reminding myself to get onto the site and make a post, but today was a real lazy day. I finished revising a very, I believe, pivotal chapter in The Sworn Defender, but that was very early in the day-- which left the rest of the day open to shenanigans.
And also, today is the birthday of a one, very dear Harry Potter. At least that's what my friends and social media are telling me. I even saw a small business post about one-day only Harry Potter themed desserts. Which, honestly, any other day outside of a pandemic (and a Lazy Friday) might have had me rushing to the car.
I feel like I don't need to say it, but I definitely rewatched the first film. I feel a bit guilty that I haven't seen it, or Chamber of Secrets, in a very long time. When I get back into the films I usually hop right into Azkaban. Love me some Gary Oldman (Which, sidenote, took me years to realize that was him. This man is extremely talented {Or I am Bad at Realizing Things}). But because of that I forget the stark contrast between Michael Gambon's Dumbledore, and Richard Harris'.
Also, if it isn't evident by now, I am not relying on Grammarly to help polish this post. It is way too late, and I paused a fantasy map-making video to write this out. The decision has been made. Witness my grammar mistakes. Witness them
Speaking of map-making, I am very interested in taking the time to finally create a tangible map of Azra and the surrounding area. I had thought I'd wait for the next series (Yes, I already have one planned), but it feels right. It would be nice to include it at the front of The Sworn Defender, and it would be an easier feat to accomplish now that my own depiction of the land has become much clearer.
I don't know, I guess the message is: Don't be surprised if a map pops up on the site in the future. It would be a good add-on to the concept art page, which itself stands empty right now.
That is another matter I have put my attention towards today. I feel my patience is being tested in various areas, and that is not something I'm enjoying.
On the bright side of things, I'm closing in on 60,000 words for The Sworn Defender, and think I'm maybe eight or so chapters away from the finish line.
I've got a few instances I am extremely excited to depict, and a few that I'm less than eager to put to page. But, it has to be done.
Anyway, this had been my shortened, nightly hours rant.
The Ranger, now still not going to bed
