Releasing a Book on May 5th

I may be a week late, but my excitement hasn't dwindled in the time since I published The Sworn Defender!

It was definitely a long time coming, at least for a writer with a track record like mine. From the beginning of the writing process to the end, Prince of Azra took no more than two-and-a-half or so months. The original version, that is. The Sworn Defender, though, from writing the first words of the prologue to publishing, it was nearly a year.

Coincidentally, the audiobook for Prince of Azra released within days of The Sworn Defender. It's another project that's been on the burner for a good, long while, but I wasn't exactly responsible for this one. At least not in the same sense.

In any case, the Amazon links for both can be found in the Titles section of the site!

I am also excited to say that The Sworn Defender's Bestiary entries should be, very hopefully, added within the next 2-3 months. I am eager to continue the practice I began with Prince of Azra, one I hope becomes tradition.

Speaking of the future, as of Monday the 10th, I have begun my next creative project!

I know I mentioned it before (I may have even said I started it before) but that's the date when I officially began Secrets of Summerstone: Shadows.

Truthfully, I did start writing it before then, maybe by a few weeks, but I was never comfortable with the beginning. I ended up scrapping large portions of the little I had written because I decided I wanted to take this story in a very different direction, as far as point of view.

In any case, I'm excited, and I hope to share more about it in the near future. Initially, I had hoped to have finished SoS: Shadows by June/July, but that was when I had meant to begin diligently writing back in February. So, yeah, the schedule has definitely shifted.

That's about it for now. I want to try bi-monthly updates, but we'll see. I don't expect to have much to say for some time, and it's not like I really have anyone here to keep me accountable.

So until then,

Michael
